Pittsburgh Steelers WR coach Darryl Drake passes away Sunday morning

The Pittsburgh Steelers mourn the loss of their wide receivers coach.

The Pittsburgh Steelers organization and their fan base found out Sunday the team’s current wide receivers coach Darryl Drake passed away suddenly.

The team has cancelled training camp practices and has closed campus to the public as the entire organization mourns the loss of one of their own.

Drake was hired by the Steelers in 2018, and his loss will be felt across the NFL as Drake previously spent time with the Arizona Cardinals. He was 62 years old.

The Steelers have stated the cause of death is unknown at this time, and respect to the Drake family will be paramount at this time.

All of us at BTSC, and Steelers fans around the globe, send their thoughts and prayers not only to the Drake family, but to all those who have worked with Drake and are mourning and saddened by his death.
