The NFL season is underway! While many teams are excited with their 1-0 start, if the last few years are any indication nearly half of the NFL will be 1-1 after the second week. Most importantly, teams don’t want to be in that dreaded 0-2 category this early in the season.
Week 2 of the NFL season also helps to give perspective on what was witnessed in Week 1. Are the Ravens and Patriots that good, or are the Steelers and Dolphins that bad? Is Chicago’s offense unproductive, or is Green Bay’s defense the real deal? After Week 2, these things are much easier to bring into focus. Until then, predicting winners, spreads and the over/under can still be a bit of a shot in the dark.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, I took a slight lead in picking games against the spread with an 8-7 record with Jeff just slightly behind at 7-8. When it came to picking the over/under, Jeff fared much better going 9-6 as I only managed to pull off a record of 7-8.
So here are the picks for the 15 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 2 off the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
