The voting is now complete for the BTSC giveaway for two tickets to Monday night’s game at Heinz Field where the Steelers take on the Cincinnati Bengals. What started as 145 entries submitted for a possible T-shirt slogan for the next round of apparel from Behind The Steel Curtain was narrowed to seven finalists selected by Jeff Hartman and Bryan Anthony Davis. After approximately 36 hours of voting, one slogan was victorious in a very close race.

During the course of the day, it became a two horse race between “In Mason We Trust” and “Carry On My Heyward Son.” The leader flipped back and forth throughout the day as finalists rallied their friends and family to vote. After a total of 11,111 votes, the winner was...

In Mason We Trust

The winning slogan was created by 17-year-old Brayden Miller and was submitted in coordination with his father. Just like other BTSC giveaways, any age may enter but an adult must claim the prize. As for Brayden, he grew up in Erie PA, and actually went to General McLane High School who are rivals to the McDowell Trojans where James Conner played. Brayden remembers listening to the high school football game between them and hearing Conner’s name being constantly repeated throughout the game. Bryaden lives only two hours away from Pittsburgh but has never been able to attend a game.

When Brayden was 7 years old, he was able to stay up with the rest of his family and watched Super Bowl XLIII and could very vividly remember the great Santonio Holmes catch in the corner of the end zone to win the game. Brayden is beyond excited to attend his very first Steelers game is extremely thankful for the opportunity to win the tickets.

We here at Behind The Steel Curtain are extremely grateful for all of the submissions we received and those who voted. While this slogan was the winner, others may be used for additional shirts. Be on the lookout for future giveaways, as well as the new apparel when it is made available.
