In the final practice of the week leading up to the Steelers Monday night match up against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, Vance McDonald, Vince Williams, and Anthony Chickillo were unavailable for the third straight day. According to the Steelers PR Department, four players, including Roosevelt Nix, sat out of practice on Saturday.

As expected, Roosevelt Nix will miss his third straight game with a knee injury. Other players missing a second straight game will be Vince Williams with a hamstring and Anthony Chickillo with a foot injury. Both players did not play this past Sunday against the 49ers and will not see the field against the Bengals.

With Williams our again, Devin Bush and Mark Barron will be tasked with stepping up to stop the Bengals running attack. Although the Steelers are ranked 27th in the NFL against the run in 2019, the Bengals are last in the NFL in rushing yards with just 125 yards in three games.

As for Vance McDonald, he missed his third straight practice of the week and is listed as doubtful. In both 2018 and 2019, the Steelers have not dressed a player with a doubtful designation.

With McDonald most likely out on Monday, newly acquired TE Nick Vannett looks as if he will get the start in his first game with the Steelers. Much like his teammates, Vannett will play his second game of 2019 at Heinz Field, this time on the home sideline since his previous game he was a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

Reserve OLB Jayrone Elliott was a full participant in Saturday’s practice, but is still listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. After two straight practices as a full participant, Joe Haden does not even carry an injury status this week.

As for the Bengals injury report, according to Steelers.com, four players have been ruled out with another listed as doubtful. As expected, A.J. Greenwill miss Monday’s game along with OT Cordy Glenn who has yet to play in 2019 due to a concussion. Bengals’ DE Carl Lawsonis listed as doubtful and has not practiced all week.
