Throughout the 2019 season, I often asked the question as to what other games Steelers’ fans were interested in. Most of the time it had to do with how they related to the Steelers. But when it comes to the 2020 Pro Bowl, I’m curious how many Steeler fans care enough to watch the game.
I know there are a variety of Steelers’ fans who follow the team. Some do not care as much about watching any football if it is not the Steelers while others enjoy the game and will watch just about anything but their love for the Steelers is above all else. The bigger question is, do you fans of the game even consider the Pro Bowl to be real football?
The Pro Bowl used to be something where the players played it as a regular game. But with injuries affecting contracts and things of that sort, the last thing the league needs is players getting injured during a meaningless All-Star game. At last year‘s Pro Bowl, Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a slight ankle injury on a play in which the ball was intercepted. JuJu did not return to the game, but knowing that an injury could have hampered his 2019 season months before it even began is not something players, teams, or the NFL front office can afford.
On the other hand, some fans who do not care to watch other NFL players may be more likely to turn in to the Pro Bowl because of the four Steelers defenders who are playing. Although it isn’t the intense, physical game we are used to seeing in the regular season, getting one last chance to see T.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward, Joe Haden, and Minkah Fitzpatrick on the field before the long off-season might give it some Steelers’ fans a reason to tune in.
So what do you think? Are you going to watch the Pro Bowl? Or is it something that just doesn’t excite you enough to turn on the television? Please vote in the poll and leave your comments below.

No. Football has been over since Week 17.
