The Pittsburgh Steelers are the NFL’s lone undefeated team heading into Week 8

In case you missed it, the Steelers are the only team who hasn’t suffered a loss heading into Week 8 of the regular season.

It hasn’t always been pretty.

It hasn’t always been easy.

But the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-0 after beating the previously undefeated Tennessee Titans in Week 7. Next up? The Baltimore Ravens coming off a bye week.

Did I mention it hasn’t been easy?

After the Seattle Seahawks overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football, giving Seattle their first defeat of the season, the Steelers are the NFL’s last unbeaten team.

With plenty of tough games ahead, the 1972 Miami Dolphins might not have to concern themselves with wondering if their perfect season will be tarnished, but Steelers fans are on cloud nine, and rightfully so.

No one expected the Steelers to finish the season 16-0, and to be honest not many saw the team starting the year 6-0. The ultimate goal of winning the AFC North, making the playoffs and getting back to the Super Bowl for the first time since Super Bowl 45 is what the team has their eyes on.

What does the road ahead look like? Let’s take a look...

Week 8: at Baltimore Ravens
Week 9: at Dallas Cowboys
Week 10: vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Week 11: at Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 12: vs. Baltimore Ravens (Thanksgiving Day)
Week 13: vs. Washington Football Team
Week 14: at Buffalo Bills (Sunday Night Football)
Week 15: at Cincinnati Bengals
Week 16: vs. Indianapolis Colts
Week 17: at Cleveland Browns

Could the Steelers run the table? Of course anything is possible, however I don’t think anyone would consider it to be likely. Again, the ultimate goal is not a perfect season, but to get back to the big dance, and that starts with a playoff berth.

In the meantime, Steelers fans should savor the perfect record. After all, with a trip to M&T Bank Stadium on deck, who knows how long it will last. Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes as the team prepares for the Ravens this Sunday in Week 8.
