Baltimore Ravens add 6 new names to the Reserve/COVID-19 List

The list keeps getting longer for the Baltimore Ravens heading into Week 12.

At this point it isn’t just the Baltimore Ravens who are dealing with positive COVID-19 tests. With the Pittsburgh Steelers having put four players and one coach on the reserve list in the past 48 hours, it seems as if both AFC North teams who are set to play each other at Heinz Field in Week 12 have their own concerns.

However, at this point, it is safe to say the Ravens’ concerns are much more dire than the Steelers’. That could change any minute, but the Ravens have recently added six new names to their growing Reserve/COVID-10 List.

The six players who were added to the list were:

OL D.J. Fluker
OLB Jaylon Ferguson
G Will Holden
DT Broderick Washington
CB Khalil Dorsey (IR)
CB Tavon Young (IR)

It is worth noting both Dorsey and Young are both in Injured Reserve, so while they count for the overall number of positive tests, they weren’t likely to be playing anytime soon.

These name are the latest on a long list of players who have tested positive this week leading up to the game which was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night. The players who have tested positive so far are:

QB Lamar Jackson
FB Patrick Ricard
DE Justin Madubuike
LS Morgan Cox
DE Calais Campbell
RB Mark Ingram
RB J.K. Dobbins
NT Brandon Williams (high risk contact)
OLB Pernell McPhee
OL Matt Skura
OL Patrick Mekari
DE Jihad Ward
QB Trace McSorley

The Ravens now have only two quarterbacks on their active roster. Robert Griffin III and practice squad QB Tyler Huntley. It is worth noting Griffin did beat the Steelers in Week 17 last year at M&T Bank Stadium while the Ravens rested Jackson and many other starters.

The hope is the Ravens’ outbreak will get under control before the team is scheduled to travel to Pittsburgh for the Tuesday night prime time game.

In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers and Ravens Week 12 game.

It seems at least one more Ravens player will be added to the list tomorrow after testing positive today.
