Steelers Injury Report: Jaylen Samuels out, Joe Haden questionable for Week 12

Since the Steelers haven’t practiced since Wednesday, the injury status for Week 12 is of no surprise.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have not practiced since Wednesday as they are still scheduled to play on Tuesday night at 8 PM against the Baltimore Ravens. On Saturday, the Steelers released another injury report for Week 12 courtesy of the Steelers PR Department, this time with the injury status for their game.

As you can see, the only change made from the previous two days was the elimination of Trey Edmunds as he has been placed on the Reserve/Injured List. All that has been added now is the injury status for Week 12.

First, running back and Jaylen Samuels has been ruled out for the second straight week with a quadricep injury. Samuels had been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 List prior to the Steelers Week 10 game and missed practice leading up to the game with Cincinnati. Samuels was injured in the matchup and also missed Week 11 against Jacksonville.

Cornerback Joe Haden left the Steelers game against the Jaguars in Week 11 early although he did return briefly before shutting it down in the blowout victory. Practicing in a limited fashion the last time the Steelers were on the field, Haden has been estimated as limited the last three days as the Steelers had no reason to change his status. For this reason, Haden is listed as questionable for the Steelers Week 12 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Another part of the Steelers injury report is that they will be without two assistant coaches on Tuesday due to illness. Special teams coordinator Danny Smith, who has reportedly received a positive test, will miss the game due to illness as well quarterbacks coach Matt Canada. a

Of course, the enormous elephant in the room is if the Steelers and Ravens are going to face off at all in Week 12. With the Steelers having five players on the Reserve/COVID-19 List with the addition of James Conner on Saturday, it’s the Ravens who are missing 20 players and will struggle to field a complete team should the game take place on Tuesday and no other players come off the list prior to kick off.

As for the Ravens official injury report, you can see the names below courtesy of Steelers.com. Just like the Steelers, it is all based on estimation.
