The Baltimore Ravens have 22 players currently on the NFL’s Reserve/COVID-19 List. With the game at Heinz Field with the Steelers on Tuesday still set to take place, do the Ravens have enough players to compete? It’s not about having key players, but having enough bodies to field a team. Additionally, do they have enough players at each position?

First, let’s look at the numbers. The NFL allows for 53 players to be on the active roster with 16 players on the practice squad. So a total of 69 players are available to field a team. With 22 players on the Covid list, one would assume there are 47 players left to play. In fact, there are 50 players available currently as three players on the Reserve/COVID-19 List were already on the Reserve/Injured List.

According to, the official website for the Ravens, the team has the following players available (as of Sunday at 11:30 AM) listed by their position according to the team website. Players with an asterisk (*) are current on the practice squad. Also, any player with an injury status will have it listed as well. Remember with players going on the Reserve/COVID-19 List, players may be pulled up from the practice squad to fill the roster spot and can go right back to the practice squad without going through waivers.

As you can see, the Ravens have enough bodies at each position, even though they are very thin on the offensive and defensive line. As long as no more players go on the Reserve/COVID-19 List, the Ravens have enough players to field a team on Tuesday.

UPDATE: If Willie Sneed has indeed tested positive and goes on the Reserve/COVID-19 List as reported, it will bring the total to 23 players on the list and the Ravens will have 49 players available for Tuesday.
