If we have learned anything from the 2020 NFL season it is that strange things are sometimes going to occur in order to make sure games are played. After a third postponement, the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to play the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday at 3:40 PM. The ultimate source of postponements has been the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in the Ravens organization. With the outbreak believed to be contained, the Ravens are traveling Tuesday night to Pittsburgh in anticipation of Wednesday’s game.

Well, most of the Ravens are traveling.

As reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Ravens are flying out of Baltimore on Tuesday night. What is unusual is there are multiple players still on the Reserve/COVID-19 List through Tuesday who are not cleared to travel with the team. Therefore, running backs J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram will travel separately on Wednesday for the game once they are cleared of the NFL‘s COVID-19 protocols.

Of course, everything has to go as planned for both players to come off the list and play in Wednesday’s game. At this time they are the only two players who Baltimore has said they expect to come off the list in order to play.

As for the Steelers, defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs came off the Covid list on Monday after being placed on the list Friday along with Kevin Dotson who was on the list for 16 days. The Steelers have not gone into detail about the players they have put on the list other than the reports of James Conner receiving a positive test. As for the other players still on the Reserve/COVID-19 List, Stephon Tuitt and Jerald Hawkins, it is unclear the circumstances of placing them on the list and when the Steelers expect them to return.

Most importantly, the fact Baltimore is making their plans to journey to Pittsburgh Tuesday in order to play in Wednesday’s game, it appears any other stalling fiascoes in order to get the game pushed to a later date have come to an end.

Stay tuned to BTSC for the Week 12 that would never end for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they are set to face the Baltimore Ravens Wednesday afternoon.
