Over the last two days, the Baltimore Ravens have had eight players come off of the Reserve/Covid List. While some players were merely going back to the Reserve/Injured List, others were players dealing with injury and may not be available for Wednesday afternoon’s game. For this reason, the Ravens have added two players to their injury report per Dan Graziano of ESPN:
Ravens rule out DT Brandon Williams (ankle) and list OL D.J. Fluker (back) as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Steelers.— Dan Graziano (@DanGrazianoESPN) December 1, 2020
It is of little surprise that Brandon Williams has been ruled out as he has not practiced since before the Ravens’ Week 10 game against the New England Patriots. Williams injured his ankle early in the Patriots’ game and missed the Ravens’ Week 11 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
The other player who was added to the injury report was offensive lineman D.J. Fluker with a back injury. Fluker has started four games for the Ravens in 2020 including the last three.
One item of note ahead of Wednesday’s game is that both teams will be required to have their final 53-man rosters set by 12:30 PM. Any player coming off of the Reserve/COVID-19 List must be done by this time as well as any elevation of practice squad players. The Ravens are likely to elevate multiple players from the practice squad and it is uncertain at this time if running backs J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram will definitely be available in coming off of the Covid list.
As for the Steelers, there should be one more roster edition by 12:30 PM Wednesday as the team only has 52 players on their active roster. Whether or not it will be a practice squad elevation or a player coming off of the Reserve/COVID-19 List has yet to be reported.
With a 3:40 PM kickoff, inactive lists for both squads will be due at 2:10 PM.
Stay tuned to BTSC as the Pittsburgh Steelers are still hopeful to play their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday at 3:40 PM.
