Steelers fullback Derek Watt, and his wife Gabriella Watt welcomed there second son, Brayden into the world on Thursday. The couple took to social media to share the news of their growing family. Brayden Watt is the second child of Derek and Gabriella’s, joining big brother, Logan as the only two grandchildren of the Watt family tree. And judging from this already large size, Brayden might just be sitting atop the 2041 NFL prospect ranking list.

Uncles T.J. Watt, J.J. Watt, and a number of Steelers players were quick to respond to the news of the Watt family growing. Many of which offered congratulations to the couple on social media.
Interesting enough, ‘Brayden George’ is the first Watt family boy since grandpa John Watt that won't be able to abbreviate his name using the letter ‘J’. Older brother Logan James, Uncles Trent Jordan and Justin James, and even dad Derek John have a middle name starting with a ‘J’. Brayden will be able to forge a name for himself but defiantly has some incredibly large shoes to fill.

The Watts are quickly becoming the first family of Pittsburgh football, with only eldest brother J.J. Watt not residing in the Steel City. Perhaps all three brothers can reunite in Pittsburgh somewhere in the future, and better yet maybe Logan and Brayden will one day make an impression on the football world. They defiantly have the genetics to do it!
Through eight games as a member of the black and gold, Derek Watt has registered six special teams tackles. While not yet registering a rushing attempt or catching a pass on offense, Derek has been getting open while on the field, and will likely get more opportunities in the coming weeks. Derek is a core special teams player for the Steelers, and might already be classified as this teams ace. After coming up just short of the Pro Bowl in 2019 as a member with the Los Angelous Charger. Watt is getting the votes and has a chance to make the team in 2020.
Congratulations to Derek and Gabriella, and welcome Brayden!
