The Steelers are continuing on with their preparation for Week 15, having a bonus day due to playing on Monday night. In the second injury report for the Steelers for Week 15 courtesy of the Steelers PR Department, the Steelers only had one player miss practice while one other was limited.
In continued great news, Joe Haden participated in practice again on Friday as he is working his way out of the NFL’s concussion protocol. After reports on Wednesday that Haden was able to practice even no injury report, this makes three straight days. With Haden practicing fully, it is looking more likely he will return to the Steelers’ lineup on Monday.
Rookie guard Kevin Dotson was unable to practice on Thursday with a shoulder injury which caused him to miss most of the second half of Sunday night’s game against the Bills. With Matt Feiler going on the Reserve/Injured List due to a pectoral injury, Dotson would be in line to start at left guard should he be able. Head coach Mike Tomlin said in his press conference on Tuesday that Dotson could miss time early in the week but may still be available Monday depending on how the week progresses. Unfortunately, Dotson could not go in practice on Friday and is looking less likely to be available by Monday.
Running back James Conner also missed Thursday’s practice with a quadricep injury. Conner returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday, so progress of any kind in regards to practicing bodes well for Conner’s availability on Monday.
Another player who missed practice Thursday was Sean Davis who missed due to illness. On Friday, Davis returned as a full participant.
As expected, Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice Friday after being given the day off on Thursday.
