BTSC Survivor Pool Update: Week 15 results

The Behind The Steel Curtain survivor pool continued on in Week 15 as the choices reached using half of the teams in the NFL. With under 20 contestants remaining, one upset could bring everything to an end. Week 15 brought two big upsets which took out most of the remaining contestants. While technically there were 355 total entries, I had one entry in each league as the commissioner so there were 352 different contestants. Hundreds have entered, but only one can go home with the autographed Maurkice Pouncey football.

The most common selections for Week 15 was the Baltimore Ravens over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Los Angeles Rams over the New York Jets, and the Steelers over the Cincinnati Bengals all with six selections. While the Ravens won in a blowout, both the Rams and Steelers were upset which knocked 9 contestants out with some selecting both teams.

The next most popular choices were the Tennessee Titans over the Detroit Lions with five selections while the Green Bay Packers over the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Atlanta Falcons each were chosen three times. The only other incorrect choice was the Las Vegas Radiers over the Los Angeles Charges which was chosen twice.

Of the remaining 18 contestants, 7 selected both games correctly while 8 had one right and one wrong. There were 3 entries which did not get their choice correct. Also, every contestant from league 4 was eliminated.

For Week 16, all contestants will continue making TWO selections. Those who have both selections correct will move on to Week 17. Should no one make two correct selections, those who made one correct pick will still be in the contest.

So after fifteen weeks, only 1.97% of entries still remain. Congratulations to the 7 contestants still remaining, but 6 of you will still have to be eliminated. If you are still alive, make sure you enter your pick early so you don’t get knocked out due to a lack of selection. This is your reminder, so go make your pick now!
