The Pittsburgh Steelers are celebrating Troy Polamalu as he prepares to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer as a member of the Hall of Fame class in 2020. There are other former, and current, players who are also celebrating Polamalu being inducted on the first ballot.
One player who has always had an issue with Polamalu for crushing his dreams is none other than former Indianapolis Colts punter, Pat McAfee. In case you have never heard the story about McAfee’s dreams being dashed by Polamalu, take a listen below:

That story was told years ago when McAfee stepped away from the NFL and began his work as an on air talent. However, on Friday McAfee finally got to know why, and how, Polamalu did what he did and crushed his dreams that day.
While having Polamalu’s teammate Ike Taylor on the Pat McAfee show, McAfee heard Polamalu himself explain what happened, and what he did, to crush his dreams.
Check it out below:

This has been a story I have always been amused by, and I know I’m not alone in this regard. Hearing Polamalu not only respond to McAfee’s story, but remember what he was thinking during that time was absolutely hilarious and put a nice ending to a hilarious story.
