As seen on the Steelers Q&A, here are the results of the BTSC mock draft...complete with Steelers pick at No. 49.

Everybody’s doing mock drafts these days, so BTSC decided to do a few too. On the last episode of Steelers Q&A, Bryan Anthony Davis and Tony Defeo were joined by Wes Hickok to make their picks for the first round in their own unorthodox and fun manner. But even though the Steelers don’t have a first rounder in this year’s draft, the trio still makes a pick for them at No. 18 and at No. 49.

Take a look at the trio’s picks below with excerpts of their commentary mixed in

1) Cincinnati Bengals (Tony): QB Joe Burrow - LSU

Tony: “I’m going out on a limb. You have to start with a quarterback and the Bengals certainly need a quarterback. I think he’s definitely a no-brainer at No. 1.”

2) Washington Redskins (Wes): EDGE Chase Young - Ohio State

Wes: “One of the three things that you don’t pass up on, if they are the best player available, is a pass rusher. Chase Young is it. With him on the board, there’s no way the Redskins don’t take Young here.”

3) Detroit Lions (BAD): CB Jeff Okudah - Ohio State

BAD: “Everybody’s favorite hobo-coach, Matt Patricia, needs more defense. They could trade down, but with Darius Slay gone by the wayside, Okudah is the perfect corner for Detroit Rock City.”

4) New York Giants (Tony): OT Tristan Wirfs - Iowa

Tony: “The Giants don’t want to pass up the best Left Tackle and that’s Tristan Wirfs. Daniel Jones needs somebody to watch his blind side, so I think that’s who you need to go with.”

5) Miami Dolphins (Wes): LB/S Isaiah Simmons - Clemson

Wes: We are going to have a surprise here. Instead of Tua, I think the Miami Dolphins need to go with most dynamic player in the draft here.”

BAD: “Great pick, but surprised not going with the QB here.”

6) Los Angeles Chargers (BAD): QB Tua Tagovailoa - Alabama

BAD: “I’m going obvious here. The Chargers have been talking all along that they want a quarterback. I thought the Chargers were going to try to trade up for Tua, but they don’t have to. LA gets what they think is the best available quarterback at this point in the draft”.

7) Carolina Panthers (Tony): DT Derrick Brown - Auburn

Tony: “With QB Teddy Bridgewater signed, it makes it easier to go defense and Brown here.”

Wes: “He’s definitely scheme versatile. Not as good, but similar to Aaron Donald in being able to pay defensive end and defensive tackle.”

8) Arizona Cardinals (Wes): OT Andrew Thomas - Georgia

Wes: With one of the worst offensive lines in the league, Arizona has got to go Andrew Thomas here. in my opinion, he’s a very good left tackle. He’s very strong and starter capable. Definitely a guy you could bring in and start right away at right tackle and groom him to move over.”

9) Jacksonville Jaguars (BAD): QB Justin Herbert - Oregon

BAD: “Jacksonville is where dreams go to die and maybe they are not ready for the Jaguar King to be “porn-stache” Gardner Minshew.

Tony: “Guys like Mishew don’t last for more than one year. They definitely need to find a replacement for Blake Bortles...an experiment gone wrong. “

10) Cleveland Browns (Tony): OT Mekhi Becton - Louisville

Tony. “I’ve had a lot of calls in the live chat not to draft a left tackle. But they’re pretty loaded on defense. They have the quarterback, at least on paper anyway, and they have pretty decent skill-position players...so that leaves a really solid left tackle.

Wes: It’s fitting that he’s going to Cleveland, because I think he’s the most overrated offensive tackle projected in the first round.

11) New York Jets (Wes): WR Jerry Jeudy - Alabama

Wes: Last year the Jets offense, Le’veon Bell included, was atrocious. Sam Darnold can not succeed if he’s got nobody to throw to. This pick has got to be Jeudy.”

12) Las Vegas Raiders (BAD): WR Henry Ruggs III - Alabama

BAD: “These guys need a wide receiver badly, but I don’t think they are going to take the guy (CeeDee Lamb) that everybody expects them to. This guy is a burner and the Raiders love burners. Denver wants him and it’s a chance to screw with a divisional foe too. They’re the Raiders and this seems like a Raiders’ pick.”

Wes: “Physically CeeDee Lamb is the better receiver. But speed is speed. If you look at the history of the Raiders, they always draft for speed and he’s the fastest receiver in the draft.””

13) San Francisco 49ers from Indianapolis (Tony): DT Javon Kinlaw - South Carolina

Tony: “I was originally going to go wide receiver with this pick, but the draft is deep at that position and I think they can get a good one at the end of the first round. I can’t believe he’s still available. I think it’s a great value-pick.”

Wes: “I actually think Kinlaw is better than Derrick Brown. Great pick.”

BAD: “I saw him going late teens and early twenties.”

14) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Wes): OT Jedrick Wills Jr. - Alabama

Wes: “Wherever they go, I see Tom Brady getting killed this year because of who his coach is. They don’t have a great offensive line on the edges. The only pick here that makes sense is OT Jedrick Wills. The only chance they have to succeed with all of those weapons is to protect Brady.”

15) Denver Broncos (BAD): WR CeeDee Lamb - Oklahoma

BAD: “This is definitely a deep WR draft and Lamb is arguably one of the best.”

16) Atlanta Falcons (Tony): CB C.J. Henderson - Florida

Tony: “The Falcons definitely need help in the secondary and Henderson fits their needs.”

17) Dallas Cowboys (Wes): EDGE Zach Baun - Wisconsin

Wes: “This is not one of the best pass rushers in the draft, but I’ve heard a lot of rumblings that he’s connected to Dallas. Jerry Jones seems to really want this guy and Dallas does things differently.”

BAD: “Wow! Didn’t see that one coming.”

18) Pittsburgh Steelers (BAD): S Minkah Fitzpatrick - Alabama

BAD: I think this is going to be a can’t miss pick. This guy is going to have a jump on all the other rookies and start right away. Very solid pick for the Steelers. His coach at Bama calls him the best defensive player he’s ever coached.”

18) Miami Dolphins from Pittsburgh (BAD): QB Jordan Love - Utah State

BAD: “This was the Steelers pick. I still think they need a quarterback and it’s going to be the exciting Jordan Love.”

Tony: “Probably a little too early here. They need a safety instead.”

Wes: “A speedy, little guy with a lot of Patrick Mahomes in him. I don’t know if he has that kind of ceiling, but I can see them going Love here.”

19) Las Vegas Raiders from Chicago (Tony): CB A.J. Terrell - Clemson

Tony: “Since they addressed receiver earlier, I think this is a good place to addresss the secondary. This seems like a very Raiders pick. Fifth-rated corner.”

Wes: “I like the player. I think it’s about a round or two early. But I agree with Tony that it’s a very Raider-like pick. He’s got good speed for a corner, good coverage skills and some down-in-the-box ability. He’s kind of like Mike Hilton, but more of an outside corner.”

20) Jacksonville Jaguars from Los Angeles Rams (Wes): WR Justin Jefferson - LSU

Wes: “If you’re going to go quarterback like earlier, you need to add to that receiver corps to help D.J. Clark. Jefferson has good size and he’s very mature. A good outside receiver talent. I don’t think they’re smart enough to make this pick for real, but that’s who I would pick.”

BAD: “I like it, but I was going EDGE and Chaisson here.”

21) Philadelphia Eagles (BAD): WR Tee Higgins - Clemson

BAD: “It seems like every year Philadelphia is taking a wide receiver. They need a WR bad. A lot of guys online have them going with a speedster from Arizona State (Brandon Aiyuk), but I have them taking the big guy from Clemson.”

Wes: “There’s a lot of concern that Higgins can’t get separation on the NFL level. Tee has a big frame and great hands. He has respectable speed, but not a Jeudy, Ruggs or Lamb speed. “

22) Minnesota Vikings from Buffalo (Tony): CB Trevon Diggs - Alabama

Tony: “Was going receiver here. But with a lot off of the board, It’s secondary help for the Vikings.”

23) New England Patriots (Wes): EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson

Wes: “For the Patriots, I’m going to go with a guy that I almost took for Jacksonville. He can really lead that defense.”

BAD: “He can be very dangerous for New England.”

24) New Orleans Saints (BAD): ILB Patrick Queen - LSU

BAD: “Patrick Queen seems to me omnipotent on defense and seems like a good fit for the Saints.”

25) Minnesota Vikings (Tony): EDGE A.J. Epenesa - Iowa

Tony: “Best player available for the Vikings is A.J. Epenesa. More help for the defense.”

Wes: “I like it. He’s not the most athletic guy, but he has a lot of athleticism. He’s got a high motor and a high ceiling.”

BAD: “I’m just glad he didn’t drop to Baltimore.”

26) Miami Dolphins from Houston (Wes): S Xavier McKinney - Alabama

Wes: “Like Tony said earlier, the Dolphins really need a safety. There’s two that you can go with here. My favorite is McKinney. Best fit for Miami. He can play any safety position you want. He’s the closest thing to a Minkah Fitzpatrick you’re going to get in this draft.”

BAD: “I really thought they’d go for a running back here, but I really like the McKinney pick. They’ve had a great three-man haul in this draft.”

27) Seattle Seahawks (BAD): RB J.K. Dobbins - Ohio State

BAD: “I am struggling with Seattle. They typically make a lot of strange moves in the draft. They need an offense of lineman, they could use help at safety…but I’m going to go a little crazy here and give them a powerful running back.”

Wes: “Dobbins is a very Seattle running back. He kind of fits their style of power running. He’s got enough speed to matter. It’s very Pete Carrroll-ish.”

28) Baltimore Ravens (Tony): EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos - Penn State

Tony: “I wish I could pick a punter here. But the Ravens need a rusher coming off of the edge here. Going with the guy that I’ll have trouble pronouncing.”

Wes: “I like this pick, but being a Penn State fan...I think he’s going to get drafted above his skill level. He’s a talented defender, but I’m still thinking he’s more of a second-day selection.”

29) Tennessee Titans (Wes): CB Kristian Fulton - LSU

Wes: “Fulton is the second corner on my board. I think he can really solidify the Tennessee secondary.”

30) Green Bay Packers (BAD): WR Jalen Reagor - TCU

BAD: “Aaron Rodgers needs help at receiver. The Pack need somebody that can run a 4.28 in the forty. He’s a speedster and the guy.”

31) San Francisco 49ers (Tony): WR Denzel Mims - Baylor

Tony: “Bryan just stole my thunder, so I’m going to scramble and take the next receiver on my board. That’s what the Niners need.”

Wes: “Great pick.”

Tony: “Ha Bryan! Wes knows more than you.”

32) Kansas City Chiefs (Wes): RB Jonathan Taylor - Wisconsin

Wes: “Breaking hearts here. Jonathan Taylor and his speed goes to the Chiefs.”

49) Pittsburgh Steelers (Tony): RB D’Andre Swift - Georgia

Tony: “I really think the Steelers need a running back and since I can’t take Dobbins, Swift is my choice here.”

BAD: “Swift can run, pass and block. He’s small, but a talented runner.”

49) Pittsburgh Steelers (Wes): RB Cam Akers - Florida

Wes: “Very durable guy that can make an impact right away.”

49) Pittsburgh Steelers (BAD): EDGE - Bradlee Anae - Utah

BAD: “With Taylor and Dobbins gone, I think the Steelers get their starter opposite Watt to replace Bud Dupree in 2021. Anae has good size, a high motor and an ornery disposition. I like the idea of this guy on the other edge.”

49) Pittsburgh Steelers (BAD): WR - Brandon Aiyuk - Arizona State

BAD: “Since I made the rules, I’m taking another guy with my first two initials of “BA”. The explosive playmaker from Arizona State can add to the receiving corps and the return game. Steeler Nation will love this guy.
