Continuing along with part 63 of our 90-part series — assuming the roster does not change before we are complete — which will break down each player of the Steelers current 90-man roster in alphabetical order. This series will encompass many aspects of each players game and their current role with the team. At the end, I’ll give some projected stats as well as their chances to make the 53-man roster.

Let’s take a look at competing right tackle:

Chukwuma Okorafor

Likelihood of making the roster

Lock. Chuks Okorafor is in the middle of the biggest position battle on the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers roster. Whether or not he wins the starting right tackle job, Okorafor will still be on the roster and potentially the teams swing tackle/jumbo tight end. He will be on this team in 2020,

2020 projection

While I am leaning toward Zach Banner winning the starting tackle spot, I do think Chuks has a very good chance of winning the job for himself. In my opinion I think Okorafor makes an impact as a swing tackle and picks up a start or two due to injury or performance of either Alejandro Villanueva or Zach Banner. He will appear in all 16 games,

Summary

Chukwuma Okorafor and Zach Banner will be one of the most interesting matchups to follow during training camp. Either player can truly win the job yet the loser will still see considerable playing tie as the teams swing tackle and primary backup. The Steelers offensive line is in really good shape and has some quality depth because of guys like Chuks. Okorafor will be a starter in this league one day, it may not be in Pittsburgh but he is defiantly talented enough to win job.
