The Los Angeles Chargers and defensive end Joey Bosa have come to an agreement on a new five-year, $135 million dollar extension which goes with a record setting $102 Million dollars guaranteed. It is the highest paid contract ever for a defensive player.
Chargers and DE Joey Bosa reached agreement on a 5-year, $135 million extension that ties him to LA the next six years, league sources tell ESPN. He had $78M fully guaranteed at signing and $102M guaranteed - a new NFL defensive record.

In four seasons, Bosa has compiled 40 sacks, 201 combined tackles, and 6 forced fumbles. Back in 2016 he was named the AP NFL Defensive rookie of the year, and has also played in a pair of Pro Bowls.
The contract comes on the heels of the Myles Garrett five year, $125 million deal. Which begs the question of how much money will Steelers MVP and 2019 Defensive Player of the Year finalist T.J. Watt command when his deal expires in 2022? Of the three players Watt ended his third season with the most career sacks (34.5) compared to Bosa 28.5, and Garrett 30.5. The Steelers outside linebacker will hear the brinks truck back up shortly.
What do you think of the Bosa deal? How much more will the Steelers have to pay T.J. Watt? Let us know down in the comments below.
