The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Wednesday they will have several opportunities for fans to stay up-to-date on all the happenings around the Steelers 2020 training camp. With the team holding training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe for more than 50 years, having training camp at Heinz Field without access to the team by fans appeared to be one of the many disappointments in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily, Steelers Nation follows one of the premier franchises in all of professional sports who is looking to remedy the situation and allow fans as much access as they can to how the Steelers are progressing for the 2020 season.
With training camp kicking off on Tuesday for veteran players, it was usually the time of year for fans to get in a frenzy over the season. But with the first several days being merely COVID-19 tests before the team comes together for strength and conditioning, typical practices will not begin until mid August. For now, training camp has more of an “OTA” feeling to it with actual practices coming in a few weeks.
The Steelers are scheduled to have their first practice on August 17, which is when the coverage of training camp will begin. The following is a breakdown as to what will be available to fans according to Steelers.com.
