If you really want to see Ben Roethlisberger throw, here is another glimpse

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 training camp officially started this week, although seeing players on the field has been limited to those who have already gone through the COVID-19 testing protocol. Although many things fans wish to see for the Steelers, such as how rookies and free agents are performing, what Steelers fans and others around the league are ultimately focused on is getting a chance to see Ben Roethlisberger in action coming off elbow surgery which cost him all but six quarters of the 2019 season.

It will only be a matter of time until the Steelers share photos or clips from workouts, and I most certainly will focus on Ben Roethlisberger and his return. But if you really want to get your fix of No. 7 and see how the elbow is doing, Brooke Pryor of ESPN posted a video of Roethlisberger throwing at Robert Morris University earlier this summer.

The exact date of the video at Robert Morris was not specified, but at this point who really cares?

Since Rothlisberger was not the only quarterback at the workout, only the throws in which he is visible throwing the ball are ones which can definitely be attributed to him. Is there enough to do a complete breakdown of how Roethlisberger is going to look in Week 1? Maybe someone else can offer an expert opinion, but that is not me. I am just happy to see Roethlisberger looking comfortable while throwing a football.

As I’ve watched the video several times, I find myself playing my own version of ‘Where’s Waldo’, slightly modified to ‘What Steelers players do I see?’ The more I watch the video, the more I realize how much I appreciate players wearing numbers when they’re on the field. To make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me, I also got help from BTSC’s Michael Beck and Geoffrey Benedict. The players we know are definitely in the video with Ben Roethlisberger are: Devlin Hodges, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Ryan Switzer, Joe Haden, and Terrell Edmunds. Some players who we believed we saw but was not a consensus were: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Eric Ebron, Dion Cain, Mike Hilton, Chase Claypool, Paxton Lynch, and Justin Layne.

There are plenty of shots of players we just can’t tell exactly who they are. Was it Eric Ebron or someone like Christian Scotland-Williamson? Did we see Minkah Fitzpatrick or was it Cameron Sutton?

This is where the BTSC community comes in! Check out the video of various players working out at Robert Morris and let us know in the comments which players you see. Can you help to identify our favorite Steelers players without their uniform?
