NFL Odds and Predictions: Picking all the Week 3 games against the spread

The 2020 NFL season is now underway! The NFL is split as evenly as possible as there are 11 teams who are 2-0, 11 teams which are 0-2, and 10 teams which are 1-1. But with Week 3, the true separation in divisions will start to emerge.

For the 2020 NFL season, six of the BTSC staff (a group I have affectionately named the “BTSC Super Six”) have signed up to pick every game against the spread and the over/under point totals. We are doing things a little different this year and including the Thursday games. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a group of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.

We are using a new program called Tallysight this season. It will allow us to show picks in a much more “friendly to the eye” manner. To understand how it works, the default tab is for our picks against the spread. To see the over/under picks, click the “O/U” tab in the upper right.

Last week, I was feeling good when I found out I ended up ranked third on all of Tallysight! As I came to gloat in this article, I realized Bryan Anthony Davis actually picked one more selection correct than I did. Unfortunately for Bryan, he is horrible at following directions and entered more picks in more categories than what we feature in this article. Because he also did not do very well making those picks, he did not make the top five for Talleysight. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned when it comes to following directions.

Both Bryan and myself finished 12-4 picking games against the spread in Week 2 with Michael close behind at 10-6. Shannon got on the right track as he finished 9-7 with poor Geoffrey following up his 12-4 performance in Week 1 by only going 6-10. So far on the season, Bryan leads us all against the spread at 22-10 while I am next at 19-13 followed by Geoffrey at 18-14.

When it comes to picking the over/under, we all had a rough week with Bryan being the only one to reach .500 at 8-8 while Geoffrey and I finished a game behind. For the overall over/under Geoffrey still leads at 20-12 followed by me at 16-16.
