Steelers Fan Rooting Guide: Who Steelers fans may want to root for in other games in Week 3

BTSC's guide to the other weekend games that might impact the Steelers the most.

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Steelers host the Houston Texans on Sunday. Of course, we will all be rooting for the black-and-gold. Sure the season is only going to be three games in and the Steelers need to win, but other games directly affect them. Most of the time, Steelers fans know who to root for. But here’s a guide to significant matchups, and whose losses Pittsburgh would benefit more from this weekend. Once again, the black-and-gold need to win for this wish list to be viable. But any edge on the competition in the AFC is welcome, no longer the date on the calendar.

Washington Football Team at Cleveland Browns - Sunday 1:00 PM

Obvious pick here. I find the Browns despicable and I have a soft spot for the WFT. You don’t need my help here.

Who to root for: Washington

Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles - Sunday 1:00 PM

I rarely root for the Eagles, but give me batteries and I’ll whip ‘em at Santa when they’re playing Cincy.

Who to root for: Philadelphia

Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots - Sunday 1:00 PM

Don’t kid yourself, the hoodie ain’t going down quietly. They are still dangerous. I’d rather see a 3-0 Raiders team over a 2-1 Pats franchise.

Who to root for: Las Vegas

Los Angeles Rams at Buffalo Bills - Sunday 1:00 PM

Buffalo is going to challenge towards the top of the AFC. In fact, they are gaining way too much momentum and their fans are super annoying.

Who to root for: Los Angeles Rams

Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings - Sunday 1:00 PM

The Titans are looking strong. Despite the Steelers visiting them in the Volunteer State in Week 4, they need to be knocked down a peg.

Who to root for: Minnesota

New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts - Sunday 4:05 PM

The Jets are kind of dreadful. Indy found themselves a little bit more in Week 2 and still could be dangerous under Phil Rivers.

Who to root for: New York Jets

Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Chargers - Sunday 4:05 PM

This is an odd game, especially without Christian McCaffrey out. Tiebreaker goes to the NFC...I guess.

Who to root for: Carolina

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos - Sunday 4:25 PM

Steelers fans have no problem rooting for Tom Brady in Tampa. But I’m having flashbacks and Denver isn’t going to be an issue in the AFC,

Who to root for: Denver

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens - Monday 8:15 PM

The Chiefs are great. They need to lose. The Ravens are rolling. They need to lose more.

Who to root for: Kansas City
