The third week of NFL football is behind us, and it was quite the week in the AFC North division. With that said, it is time to see how the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns all did in the week that was.
Time to take a look...
Pittsburgh Steelers - 28
Houston Texans - 21
The Steelers victory on Sunday at Heinz Field wasn’t always pretty, but the way the team finished the game has left fans feeling great heading into Week 4. While the Steelers haven’t played a team who has logged a win yet, their next opponent, the 3-0 Tennessee Titans, will be a strong test for the black and gold.
Cincinnati Bengals - 23
Philadelphia Eagles - 23
Is there anything more Bengals-like than a tie? This game was ugly from the start, and the one thing Bengals fans can hang their hat on is Joe Burrow. Burrow is tough as nails, has shown talent and looks to be the leader at the quarterback position the team has longed for since Carson Palmer’s days in Cincinnati. The question now will be can they get him enough help, especially along the offensive line, to help him see success?
Cleveland Browns - 34
Washington Football Team - 20
After being embarrassed in Week 1 by the Ravens, the Browns have bounced back with two straight wins. The most recent being against the turnover prone Dwayne Haskins and the Washington Football Team. Kudos to the Browns for taking advantage of those turnovers and equating it into a win. Bigger games await the Browns in the coming weeks.
Kansas City Chiefs - 34
Baltimore Ravens - 20
What might have been the most shocking result of the week was watching the Ravens get their doors blown off at home in prime time. These are the situations where Steelers fans are used to watching the Ravens pull out inspired performances and win these games under the bright lights. The opposite happened as the defense looked lost going against Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson didn’t look like an MVP throughout the night. This is just one game, but suddenly it is the Steelers, not the Ravens, sitting atop the AFC North heading into Week 4.
AFC North Standings
Pittsburgh Steelers - 3-0-0
Baltimore Ravens - 2-1-0
Cleveland Browns - 2-1-0
Cincinnati Bengals - 0-2-1
