The Pittsburgh Steelers’ global fan base isn’t happy with their team. They haven’t had a playoff win since 2016, and the most recent playoff game was a Wild Card dud against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field.
It propels the Steelers into a tumultuous offseason where a myriad of questions await.
Will the Steelers target a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft?
Will they be able to retain many of their free agents?
Will Ben Roethlisberger return to play next season, or will he hang it up?
The latter question has many wondering if the Steelers might be thinking of life after Roethlisberger. What will that look like? Mason Rudolph or Dwayne Haskins? A rookie? How about a veteran quarterback who might be looking for a new home?
In this case I am referring to Deshaun Watson and Matthew Stafford.
Stafford and the Detroit Lions have reportedly agreed to part ways this offseason, and the Houston Texans and Watson are the epitome of a rocky relationship heading into 2021 with a new General Manager and Head Coach.
Could one of these two star quarterbacks find their way to the Steelers? At this point, forget about compensation necessary to bring them in, but is it even feasible? Believe it or not, Vegas has the odds for who will be most likely to bring in Stafford and Watson, and the Steelers are on the board.
