The Steelers are preparing for their playoff game in three years. Taking Week 17 to try to get as healthy as possible for a postseason run, the Steelers are hoping to have everyone available who hasn’t been ruled out for the season. In the first injury report for the Steelers for Wild Card Round courtesy of Steelers.com, the Steelers only had 2 players miss practice.

S Terrell Edmunds (Shoulder) - Full

Not appearing on the injury report are inside linebacker Robert Spillane and offensive lineman Matt Feiler. Both players returned to practice on Wednesday but have not been activated to the active roster as the Steelers have 21-days to make the decision. Until they return to the active roster, they will not be included in the injury report.
On the injury side of things, the biggest question marks come in the form of players who missed Week 17. What may be one of the most important injuries moving forward is that to kicker Chris Boswell. Missing his second straight game and the third in the last five weeks, Boswell was limited on Wednesday.
Another player who missed last Sunday’s game due to injury was Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds with a shoulder. Edmunds missed the first NFL game of his career, but is hopeful to return for the Steelers Wild Card game. On Wednesday, Edmunds returned to practice as a full participant.
There were also several players who were new to the injury list. Cornerback Steven Nelson was limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Linebacker Vince Williams did not practice and is listed as having a quadricep injury. Finally, defensive tackle Tyson Alualu did not practice Wednesday with an ankle injury, but he has been out on Wednesdays with an injury the last few weeks only to return on Thursday.
Not included on the report was Ben Roethlisberger who typically sits out of practice on Wednesdays. After receiving Week 17 off, Roethlisberger practiced fully on Wednesday. In fact, there were no players who sat out of practice with a designation of not injury related.
As for the Browns’ official injury report, you can see the names below courtesy of Steelers.com. With their facility closed on Wednesday, the Brown held a virtual walk through and any injury report will not be based on practice.
