The Steelers are continuing in their preparation for their first playoff game in three years. With two more players coming off the COVID-19 list, the Steelers are looking to be at nearly full strength heading into the postseason. In the second injury report for the Steelers for Wild Card Round courtesy of Steelers PR Department, all players who missed or were limited in practice yesterday were full participants on Thursday while two new names were add to the list and did not practice.

The biggest question mark coming out of Week 17 in the injury to kicker Chris Boswell. Missing his second straight game and the third in the last five weeks, Boswell was limited on Wednesday. On Thursday, Boswell was back to a full participant.

Another player who missed last Sunday’s game due to injury was Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds with a shoulder. Edmunds missed the first NFL game of his career, but is hopeful to return for the Steelers Wild Card game. On Wednesday, Edmunds returned to practice as a full participant and was full again on Thursday.

There were also several players who were new to the injury list. Cornerback Steven Nelson was limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Linebacker Vince Williams did not practice and is listed as having a quadricep injury. Finally, defensive tackle Tyson Alualu did not practice Wednesday with an ankle injury. All three players were back and practicing fully on Thursday.

New to the injury report was wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster who sat out Wednesday with a knee injury. Early in the season Smith-Schuster would often miss a practice early in the week with what was listed as a knee. It is unclear at this time if the knee injury is something new or if he is dealing with a re-injury of some kind. Smith-Schuster has not missed a game in the 2020 season.

The other player new to the injury report is defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs who missed practice due to an illness.

As for the Browns’ official injury report, you can see the names below courtesy of Steelers.com. Once again the Browns’ facility is closed for Covid issues and the team will not hold an in-person practice.
