The Pittsburgh Steelers were 29-27 victors over the Chicago Bears in Week 9 on Monday Night Football, and the team doesn’t have much time to enjoy the win before looking ahead to the Detroit Lions coming to Heinz Field this Sunday in Week 10.

Tuesday Mike Tomlin addressed the media, and on top of previewing the Lions game he talked about some injuries the Steelers are dealing with heading into the next game on the schedule.

The biggest injury of note for the Steelers coming out of their prime time game on Monday night was to wide receiver Chase Claypool Mike Tomlin said Claypool suffered a toe injury which is being evaluated. In fact, Tomlin added Claypool was getting an MRI on the toe, and this means the injury could be something to be concerned with leading into Week 10.

On top of Claypool’s injury, Tomlin said there were several other injuries which could limit players in the early portions of the week. Robert Spillane and Cam Heyward both are dealing with ankles injuries. Fans saw Isaiah Buggs leave the game with what many thought was a groin injury, but Tomlin labeled the injury as a hip injury. As always, their quality, and ability, to practice will dictate whether they will be available vs. Detroit.

Tomlin also added an update to tight end Eric Ebron who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. Tomlin said he is anticipating Ebron working his way back this week, and his “quality of work” will be the guide for the Steelers getting Ebron back into the lineup vs. his former team.

Unlike in past weeks, there was no available update on Stephon Tuitt, who still resides on Injured Reserve (IR) with a knee injury. Other than Tuitt, Tomlin said both Zach Banner and Anthony McFarland, both who spent time on IR with knee injuries, did not suffer any setbacks and are in the mix to play in Week 10 vs. Detroit.
