The Pittsburgh Steelers will have another member of their franchise inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer when Alan Faneca will finally get his bust in Canton, OH. Faneca, who was also inducted with former scout Bill Nunn, will be a part of a Steelers-centric celebration this summer when Troy Polamalu, Bill Cowher, Donnie Shell, Faneca and Nunn will all be inducted at the same time.
Faneca has had to wait several years before his induction, but when it finally happened it was a surprise from Hall of Fame President David Baker at his home which surprised the former LSU guard.
Instead of the nominees being in the same hotel and getting “the knock” from Baker, this year, due to COVID-19, Baker went around the country and delivered the news to every player, coach or scout individually.
You can watch Faneca’s visit from Baker below, and the reaction of his family as they surprised Faneca at the same time.
