Believe it or not, but the Steelers are still odds on favorites to sign J.J. Watt

The Pittsburgh Steelers are somehow still the odds on favorites to sign J.J. Watt.

I learned a lot about the way gambling and football go together at an early age. I still remember my dad bringing home score sheets for NFL, college and even High School games for him to take wagers on.

Didn’t have to pick all of them, but the ones you did pick had to be winners.

I learned how the home team typically gives 3-points, so a straight up game is essentially favoring the visitor. I also learned plenty about over/under numbers. After games we would check the sheet and I’d say, “Man, how do they know?!” My dad’s answer was always the same, “They always know.”

And he was right. Very rarely do odds makers slip and fall on their faces. Not that it hasn’t happened, but it is rare. Needless to say, as someone who follows odds when they come my way, I was curious after the weekend who would be the odds on favorite to land J.J. Watt.

Lo and behold, the Pittsburgh Steelers still were the team atop the list. There are plenty of reasons why the Steelers won’t have a chance signing the oldest Watt brother. Price, position, performance and even the overall status of the organization. But there are those stinking brothers who always seem to make you change your minds. After all, the three have never played on a football team together.

So, what are the odds for J.J. Watt’s next team? Check out the latest odds thanks to BetOnline:
