Superstar defensive lineman, J.J. Watt is signing with the Arizona Cardinals. This per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

In case you were wondering if these were just rumors, J.J. Watt said this on his official Twitter page:

In ten years with the Houston Texans, Watt put up some of the most impressive stats in NFL history. Easily the best defensive player the Texans ever had Watt will look to build upon his 101 sacks he tallied in the ‘Space City’. On top of those statistics Watt is a three time winner of the NFL’s defensive player of the year award. A feat only accomplished by three men (Lawrence Taylor, Aaron Donald, and J.J. Watt). On top of all this Watt was named first team All-Pro five times, was a unanimous member of the 2010’s All-Decade team, and is the only man in league history to register multiple 20 sack seasons.

Watt also brings his extensive charity work to the city of Arizona. Most notably, Watt raised $37 million dollars for the city of Houston after it was struck by Hurricane Harvey. The incredible accomplishment earned J.J. the NFL’s most prestigious humanitarian award, the Walter Peyton award. Winners of this trophy wear a patch of Walter Peyton on his game day jersey which will now be sewed on his new colors.
