Entering the 2021 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a number of draft needs which they needed to address. Unlike in 2020, with no first round selection in the draft, the Steelers possessed a full allotment of draft picks. With eight picks, the following positions could be viewed as a priority entering the selection process: running back, center, pass rusher and even inside linebacker. Those positions, and more, were positions of need to help the black-and-gold get to the next level in 2021. There have been numerous thoughts and debates regarding what the team will do in Round 7 of the NFL Draft.
When the dust settled, the Steelers have selected Georgia Tech punter Pressley Harvin, with their second seventh round pick in the draft.
Steelers take Pressley Harvin, Punter, at Pick 254. That's their draft folks.

For those who may not know much about Pressley Harvin as a player, this is his overall breakdown of his game, per his NFL Draft Profile:
Overview
Wide-body punter with extra quick operation time. Harvin was a heralded punter out of high school and seemed to improve throughout his time at Georgia Tech. His quick get-off might need to be slowed to help out his coverage team, though. He has an NFL leg and is consistent as a directional punter, which gives him a shot to be drafted.
Strengths
- Impressive net average of 44.8 yards per punt in 2020.
- Able to handle poorly snapped footballs.
- Directional punts look like passes to the gunner.
- Touchdown pass of 41 yards on fake punt in 2019.
Weaknesses
- Inconsistent hang time.
- High percentage of punts were returned.
- Displays inconsistent touch on short kicks.
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ draft is now complete, now they turn their attention to Undrafted Free Agent (UDFAs) additions.
