The Pittsburgh Steelers are a tough nut to crack. Coming off a 12-4 season, and an AFC North championship, the Steelers have had a rough go of it the past few months. The mainstream narrative surrounding the Steelers harkens back to Warren Sapp’s, “old, slow, it’s over” quote.

Many feel Ben Roethlisberger’s best years are long gone, the team can’t run the ball, there is turnover along the offensive line, the team lost defenders Bud Dupree and Mike Hilton and the way the 2020 season ended with a Wild Card dud vs. Cleveland has a bad taste in everyone’s mouths.

So, after all of that, trying to figure how the Steelers’ 2021 season will play out is anything but easy. With the new 17 game regular season unveiled just a few weeks ago, many sites and outlets are suggesting the Steelers’ 12 game 2020 season was nothing more than a flash in a pan.

Recently, Pro Football Focus took a stab at the win-loss total for the 2021 Steelers. Let’s just say they weren’t too kind.

Pro Football Focus Steelers Win-Loss Total: 8.5

You might be wondering about the other AFC North teams, and their win-loss totals. Take a look at the most recent numbers:

Baltimore Ravens: 10.5
Cleveland Browns: 10.5
Cincinnati Bengals: 6.5

Throughout the offseason, these numbers for some of the division have changed. The Browns saw their total increase an entire game, while the Ravens saw their total drop a half game following the 2021 NFL Draft.

With the new 17-game season, finishing .500 is a thing of the past. Some see Mike Tomlin’s non-losing season streak coming to an end in 2021, but PFF has their Over/Under smack dab in the middle of the new schedule.
