On a day when plenty of Pittsburgh Steelers roster cut rumors are swirling, the latest might be the most significant. On Saturday the Steelers released nine players, officially from their offseason roster. Monday they have reportedly already notified three players they will be released. They are: LB Jamar Watson, LS Kameron Canaday and WR Rico Bussey. There is a fourth player who has also reportedly been told he won’t be on the team’s 53-man roster, and that is punter Jordan Berry.

Berry has punted for the Steelers for six seasons, but fans of the Steelers, especially those who think the Steelers are better without Berry, know in 2020 they started without Berry after signing Dustin Colquitt. That experiment only lasted five games before Berry returned to the team to finish out the season.
Will Berry be lucky enough to have rookie Pressley Harvin III flounder, so he can find his way back to the roster? Only time will tell, but as of Tuesday there is a chance Berry could be picked up by another team considering he had a strong preseason.
Berry now joins the following players as the most recent cuts:
TE Marcus Baugh
RB Tony Brooks-James
CB Shakur Brown
WR Anthony Johnson
S Lamont Wade
WR Matthew Sexton
CB Lafayette Pitts
DT T.J. Carter
OG Malcolm Pridgeon
LB Jamar Watson
LS Kameron Canaday
WR Rico Bussey
The Steelers had practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Monday and again on Tuesday prior to cuts needing to be made official, so more news and notes could be coming over the next 24 hours.
