The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get a deal done, finally, with All-Pro pass rusher T.J. Watt. As you can imagine, following the deal being announced there was a lot of celebrating within the Steelers’ locker room. But first, Watt himself had to let fans know he was here to stay for a while.
If it’s ok with Yinz, I’d like to stay a while!! LETS GO PITTSBURGH!!!! pic.twitter.com/itjnF7XNLd

After that, it was Watt’s teammates who took to social media to congratulate him on his new contract. Offense and defense didn’t matter, his teammates were genuinely happy to see Watt get the money he rightfully deserves.
At this time, the speculation can finally end on whether Watt will, or won’t, get a deal he deserves before the Week 1 game vs. the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. Now, the focus can be on being the best team, and defense, the Steelers can be as they hope to bring home another Lombardi trophy.
Check out what his teammates said on social media, mainly Twitter, following the news breaking Thursday afternoon, and be sure to stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the black and gold as they prepare for the upcoming 2021 regular season.
(Editor’s Note: As more players take to social media to tell Watt congratulations, this story will be updated.)
