As the Pittsburgh Steelers prepare to begin their first official practice for game week on Wednesday, they have made several moves in regard to their 16-man practice squad. The Steelers have added defensive end Henry Mondeaux, wide receiver Tyler Vaughns, and linebacker Delontae Scott to their practice squad.

After landing on the Steelers initial 53-man roster, Henry Mondeaux was released on Friday when the Steelers traded for cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon. Starting the 2020 season on the Steelers practice squad, Mondeaux appeared in 11 games in 2020 where he had five tackles, one tackle for loss, and two quarterback hits. During the 2021 preseason, Mondeaux 112 snaps for the Steelers and had six quarterback hurries and two tackles and had the Steelers second-highest grade according to Pro Football Focus only behind Alex Highsmith.

Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns was a 2021 undrafted free agent who signed with the Indianapolis Colts following the NFL draft. Playing collegiately for USC, Vaughns appeared in all three of the Colts preseason games where he played 51 snaps and had six receptions on seven targets for 58 yards.

Linebacker Delante Scott what is a 2020 undrafted free agent who was signed by the Green Bay Packers out of SMU. Scott appeared in the Packers three preseason games this year where he played 103 snaps where he tallied one sack and two hurries along with eight tackles.

To make room on the practice squad, the Steelers placed wide receiver Rico Bussey on the practice squad injured list. Bussey played in three preseason games with the Steelers but did not see any action in their final preseason game. The exact injury which put Bussey on the Reserve/Injured List for the practice squad is unknown at this time.

Although the Steelers did not announce any other moves, these additions had them over the 16-man limit on the practice squad. According to the players listed on steelers.com, linebacker Christian Miller is no longer on the squad.
