The Pittsburgh Steelers defense received some exciting news ahead of Week 13, as All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick

officially made his return to practice Wednesday, Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now reported.

Fitzpatrick has been out since a hamstring injury that’s kept him out of the lineup since Week 8’s game against the Jaguars. His injury was just one of several key absences this year on the defense due to injury, with the first having been DT Cam Heyward, who missed six games on injured reserve earlier this year with a groin injury.

Should he be available in Week 13, it would mark the first game that Fitzpatrick, Heyward and T.J. Watt were all available in the same game — a huge win for this bend-don’t-break defense that’s ranked eighth in the league in yards allowed, giving up 354.4 yards per game to opposing offenses.
