Steelers receiver Diontae Johnson missed practice on Thursday with an illness, per Joe Rutter of Tribune-Review.
Rutter says this has nothing to do with what transpired in Cincinnati and that there is “nothing nefarious” going on. Johnson was simply sent home with an illness.

Johnson was under fire and had his effort questioned on a play in which he didn’t go after a fumble following a dropped touchdown pass. The Toledo product owned up to his mistake, though, saying something of that nature wouldn’t happen again.
The Steelers host the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday, whose defense is 30th in the league in EPA/dropback, meaning this could be a big day for Johnson and the rest of the Steelers passing attack.
