Terrible Towel Tales: Former Steelers NT Chris Hoke slams Minkah Fitzpatrick

Steelers news and commentary Friday, December 15

NFL: Super Bowl XLV-Green Bay Packers vs Pittsburgh Steelers Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Terrible Towel Tales, where we’ll highlight some of the latest stories permeating Steelers media for your reading pleasure every Monday through Saturday. In today’s news…

Steelers great Chris Hoke rips All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick’s level of production | Chantz Martin, Fox News

“Minkah has 64 tackles, 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, 0 fumble recoveries. ‘A’ players have to play ‘A’ ball in games like last Thursday and this Saturday. They haven’t gotten that from him this season.”

Fitzpatrick spent the first two seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins before joining the Steelers ahead of the 2019 season. He signed a lucrative four-year contract extension with the Steelers in 2022.

Steelers Can’t Blame George Pickens for This One | Noah Strackbein, WTAJ (via All Steelers)

“I don’t know. You guys be at practice, right? I would just say I hope to see things like that. When it’s routes like that, I mean, I can’t really produce that way, running 5-yard routes, 3-yard routes,” Pickens said.

That’s when it all made a lot more sense. Pickens should be more solution-oriented with his frustrations, but maybe, the Steelers should be more solution-oriented in trying to get their best offensive player involved.

For as much blame as everyone wants to put on Pickens being upset, there should be the same, if not more, blame on the Steelers totally ignoring their best chance at turning their offensive struggles around.

Steelers OLB T.J. Watt Still Tops in AFC Pro Bowl Vote | Alan Saunders, Steelers Now
