Here’s a look at the Steelers inactives for Week 15’s showdown against the Colts.
Steelers inactives Week 15
- QB Kenny Pickett (ankle)
- RB Anthony McFarland
- CB Darius Rush
- OT Dylan Cook
- DE Isaiahh Loudermilk
- LB Blake Martinez
The Pittsburgh Steelers had already ruled out quarterback Kenny Pickett
ahead of gameday as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, so his presence on the list was no surprise.
The only uncertainty ahead of this game was regarding starting left guard Isaac Seumalo, who was listed as questionable on the final injury report, dealing with a shoulder injury suffered in Week 13. He hasn’t practiced over the past two weeks but still managed to play a full allotment of snaps in Week 14’s game against the Patriots, allowing just a single pressure on the day.
Colts inactives Week 15
- RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb)
- RT Braden Smith (knee)
- WR Isaiah McKenzie
- CB Tony Brown
- LB Segun Olubi (hip)
- DE Isaiah Land
- DT Adetomiwa Adebawore
RB Jonathan Taylor and OT Braden Smith were each ruled out Thursday with their respective injuries, so their absence is no surprise in this one.
Fourth-year veteran backup Zack Moss will once again get the start for Taylor, his eighth start of the year. With the opportunities he’s seen to date this season, Moss enters this game with 923 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns — both career highs.
In place of Braden Smith, rookie Blake Freeland will start his second game at right tackle. Don’t be surprised if the Steelers look to bully that side of the line to keep this rookie on his toes.
LB Segun Olubi had been listed as questionable heading into Week 15, now officially listed as inactive against the Steelers with a hip injury. Olubi has logged just a single start this season with a limited role on the defense, primarily working as a special teamer through most of this season.
