Still looking past the 2023 season in the latest poll.

Behind the Steel Curtain spoke loud and clear about their feelings about Mike Tomlin remaining as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Last week, we polled readers on whether or not they felt it was time for Tomlin and the Steelers to part ways. With 2010 votes as of Friday evening 68% (1,374) of members felt it was time to move on from the tenured head coach. While 17% (349) voters feel he deserves to continue as the leader of the Black and Gold. Not surprisingly, 287 votes remained undecided.

I’ve remained in the on-again/off-again crowd for the last couple of years but to remind everyone I defended the guy for much of his time in Pittsburgh. Eventually, I just lost faith in the man in charge, doesn’t mean I still can’t root for his success. He is still “The Guy” at the helm.

Or will Mike Tomlin do the unthinkable and get outside of his comfort zone and hire an innovative mind to help jump start this lack luster offense

In saying that, I want to dig into another topic, and that is the high probability that he remains as head coach through the 2024 season. I mean it took an act of Congress to get a failing offensive coordinator to be removed, and even though there was a precedent set in firing a coach before the end of a season. Do we really believe that Mike Tomlin will be fired before his contract runs out? HECK NO!!!

So, this week's poll starts and stops at who you think the next offensive coordinator will be. I’m pretty sure I know the answer but I want to see what Behind The Steel Curtain thinks. Once again please be respectful in your discussions and comments.

Go Steelers, but where are they going?
