We’re just under 90 minutes out from kickoff of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 16 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, and both teams have officially announced their gameday inactives.

Here’s a look at the Steelers inactives for Week 16’s showdown against the Bengals.

Steelers inactives Week 16

  • QB Kenny Pickett (ankle)
  • S Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee)
  • S Trenton Thompson (neck)
  • OL Dylan Cook
  • CB Darius Rush
  • LB Blake Martinez
  • DE DeMarvin Leal

The only player to officially be listed as questionable ahead of Week 16 was safety Elijah Riley, who was officially activated from injured reserve on Saturday as one of several roster moves. Riley will officially be active for Week 16 now with what will likely be a significant role in the absence of Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), Trenton Thompson (neck) and Damontae Kazee (suspension) — all out against the Bengals. Expect career cornerback Patrick Peterson to also play a significant role at safety in this outing, having played a career high 30 snaps at free safety in Week 15 out of necessity.

Linebacker Myles Jack is also active in Week 16 — his first active game since signing with the Steelers practice squad, having been elevated to the 53-man roster Saturday afternoon.

Though it’s no surprise as he’d been ruled out ahead of the weekend, quarterback Kenny Pickett is out again for Week 16, with backup Mason Rudolph getting the start over Mitch Trubisky.

Bengals inactives Week 16

  • WR Ja’Marr Chase (shoulder)
  • RB Chris Evans
  • LB Devin Harper
  • C Trey Hill
  • OT D’Ante Smith
  • TE Irv Smith
  • DT Travis Bell

Heading into Week 16, Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had been the only player with an injury designation, officially ruled out on Friday with a shoulder injury. The Bengals will likely have a greater uptick in involvement from WR Trenton Irwin in his absence, while leaning on Tee Higgins to carry WR1 duties.

Two names not showing up on the inactives list this week are two starters on the defense, CB Cam Taylor-Britt and DT D.J. Reader, who are both out on injured reserve.
