The Steelers started the game fast, jumping to a 14-0 lead against the Cincinnati Bengals with consecutive drives ending in touchdowns. Early in the second quarter, though, the Steelers suffered an injury to one of their top defenders.
Linebacker Elandon Roberts left the game after sustaining a pectoral injury, per Burt Lauren. He is doubtful to return. Myles Jack, who was elevated off the practice squad, has taken the place of Roberts in the middle of the field. In addition to replacing Roberts on the field, jack will also be wearing the green dot for the Steelers’ defense.
Roberts sustained an injury to his groin against the Arizona Cardinals earlier this season, causing him to miss the remainder of the game in which the Steelers lost.
Pittsburgh has had bad injury luck at the linebacker spot this season, losing both Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander to season-ending injuries, resulting in the team signing multiple free agents.
