The Steelers have had bad luck with the injury bug this season, and they got more bad news today regarding one of their top defenders.

Linebacker Elandon Roberts has been ruled out for Pittsburgh’s Week 17 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, per head coach Mike Tomlin. Roberts suffered a pectoral injury against the Bengals and was replaced by Myles Jack. He did not return.

The good news from this is that Roberts isn’t going on IR, which leads us to believe that there is a chance he could play in the final game of the season in Baltimore against the Ravens. The other positive to take away from this is how well Myles Jack in relief of Roberts. Jack had six tackles and a sack, and was all over the field, nearly picking off a Jake Browning pass. While losing Roberts is a big blow, the positive play of Jack does give Pittsburgh confidence.
