With Week 13 officially a wrap, here’s a look at the Steelers-Patriots odds on Week 14 Thursday Night Football.

Steelers vs. Patriots Week 14 odds

Point spread: Steelers -6
Over/under: 33
Moneyline odds: Steelers -245, Patriots +200

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter Week 14’s contest with a 7-5 record after one of the most embarrassing losses in the Mike Tomlin era to the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to Week 13, the Cards sat firmly in position for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft with a 2-10 record and one of the worst defenses in the league. However, the Steelers looked largely unprepared and incurred a slew of injuries, including an ankle injury to quarterback Kenny Pickett, a shoulder injury to left guard Isaac Seumalo and a groin injury for linebacker Elandon Roberts, all of which seemed too great to overcome. Despite those injuries, the Steelers reopened as six-point home favorites over the Patriots, who have had plenty of struggles of their own in the 2023 season.

That doesn’t mean this game is a “gimme” for the Steelers, however, even despite the New England Patriots’ 2-10 record entering Week 14. If the season ended today, they’d be in line for the No. 2 overall pick, currently on pace for the worst season HC Bill Belichick has had in his career with a .182 winning percentage. His worst season with the Patriots came back in 2000, where he went 5-11 in his first season with the team.

Their greatest struggles this season have been on offense, as third-year quarterback Mac Jones has continued to struggle, having been benched on several occasions in favor of backup Bailey Zappe. Zappe got his first start of the season in Week 13, completing 13-of-25 pass attempts for 141 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions in the team’s 6-0 loss to the LA Chargers. The Patriots lost running back Rhamondre Stevenson to a right ankle injury in the game, which could prove costly, looking likely to miss the game against the Steelers given the short week.

It seems likely fans will see Zappe again at quarterback for the Patriots in Week 14, with Ezekiel Elliott getting the work at running back. Elliott signed with the Patriots back in August after being officially released by the Cowboys back in March.

Before season kickoff, the Steelers were Installed as two-point favorites, with moneyline odds at -135. The Patriots’ moneyline odds, meanwhile, were installed at +114.
