Gameday update: Just ahead of kickoff, the temperature sits at 73° F with a light 5 mph breeze and cloudy skies — no rain! According to Accuweather, there’s a 43-47% chance of rain in the 2 and 3 p.m. hours respectively, with a thunderstorm projected for the 4 p.m. ET hour. Hopefully, this could be a cleaner weather game than previously expected.

The Steelers open their season at Acrisure Stadium for the first time since 2014, and the weather may or may not fully cooperate.

After a small heatwave made its way through western Pennsylvania throughout the middle of the week, Sunday will be cooler, and potentially wetter (winky face emoji).

According to weather.com Sunday is scheduled to be a high of 78 degrees with a 70 percent chance of rain, and possible thunderstorms.

If rain does make its way to the stadium, expect a low-scoring game with a heavy focus on running the ball from both sides.
