Minkah Fitzpatrick says he is playing in Wild Card game vs. Bills

The Steelers will get their star safety back

The Steelers are a big underdog heading into their Wild Card matchup with the Buffalo Bills, in large part because they will be without star edge rusher T.J. Watt. That said, they will be getting another defensive star back.

Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick says he will be playing this weekend after missing the team’s final three games of the regular season with a knee injury — an undoubtedly huge boost for the Steelers.

Fitzpatrick has missed a lot of time due to injury this season. He’s missed a total of seven games with the aforementioned knee injury, as well as an injured hamstring he sustained early on in the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pittsburgh’s defense will have their hands full against the Buffalo Bills and their dynamic quarterback, Josh Allen. Getting their three-time All-Pro back will help contain Buffalo’s pass game, as will the suspected heavy winds that are expected to hit Buffalo on Sunday.
