The Steelers will be leaving St. Vincent College with three new names on their injury report. In the final training camp practice on August 14, center Nate Herbig, cornerback Grayland Arnold, and running back Jonathan Ward all had early exits.
There are no official reports on the severity of the injuries.
Arnold injured his calf and reportedly left on a cart. However, he did walk off the field on his own power.
Ward injured his hamstring, but it appeared less severe. Both his and Arnold’s injuries were mentioned by head coach Mike Tomlin following practice.
Grayland Arnold (calf) and Jonathan Ward (hamstring) got banged up today at Steelers practice, per Mike Tomlin. Saw Ward walking off the field on his own power so we'll see whether those two get back to it tomorrow in Pittsburgh and/or in Saturday night's P2 game.

Herbig reportedly hurt his left arm, leaving the field early. However, there has been no news since.
It’s a tough break for all three players. Arnold had been seeing first-team nickel reps in a tight battle with Beanie Bishop Jr., Ward had a strong preseason opener as he fights for a practice squad spot, and Herbig has been the team’s starting center all offseason.
It’s yet to be seen if the injuries will affect any of the three’s playing time on Saturday against the Buffalo Bills.
As for the rest of the injury report, Steelers Now’s Alan Saunders reported that veteran cornerback Donte Jackson did not practice for the third straight day with an undisclosed injury. Unsurprisingly, injured rookies Troy Fautanu and Roman Wilson also did not participate.
Per The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo, promising defender DeMarvin Leal also missed practice.
In better news, injured defenders Alex Highsmith and Keeanu Benton both returned in full to practice on Wednesday.
Up next for the Steelers is their joint practice with the Bills on August 15.
