It'd be a shame if Jerricho Cotchery couldn't make it back on the field in Pittsburgh's Week 17 game against Cleveland.
If not for the sake of seeing his amazing 2013 season continue, then to have the chance to receive the standing ovation he deserves.
Cotchery injured his right shoulder diving for a pass in the end zone during the third quarter of Pittsburgh's game against Cleveland. Cotchery scored his 10th touchdown this season earlier in the game, and nearly came up with his second on what would easily have been the best play he's made all year.
The Steelers failed to convert the red zone opportunity, coming out of the drive with three points and a 17-0 lead over Cleveland.
As it sits now, the Steelers still have a chance at the postseason, and that may affect Cotchery's availability for the remainder of this game. Pittsburgh is well in control of their game against Cleveland.
