It was the first 9 p.m. start time and hour-long show for BTSC's podcast "The Standard is The Standard." And they made the extra time count.
Jeff Hartman and Lance Williams met up Wednesday evening for the recording of the show (which is broadcast live on Blog Talk Radio as well as BTSC). After highlighting a bit of the Steelers' loss to Baltimore, they dive into their own advance scouting of the Carolina Panthers, the Steelers Week 3 opponents.
They dive into the rest of the league, making their picks for every game this weekend, including the hyped game of the week, Denver at Seattle. The Steelers kick off at 8:25 p.m. ET from Carolina in the team's second consecutive road prime time game. The Panthers, sitting at 2-0 and defending NFC South champions, are favored by three points.
