In this edition of the Steelers 2-minute drill, editor of BTSC, Neal Coolong, talks about one of the few negatives to come out of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 37-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Night Football. That negative would be cornerback Ike Taylor's broken forearm that could see the veteran missing significant time, if not the entire season.
Other than whether Taylor will return this season, Coolong asks the question, if this truly is the end for Taylor, what kind of legacy will he leave? As Coolong points out, few have worked harder than Taylor throughout his career but few have missed as many interceptions as Taylor has either.
Regardless of Taylor's legacy, the Steelers will have to fill the void left in their starting lineup where Taylor has been a mainstay throughout his career. With depth at the cornerback position thin, Taylor's absence will certainly be felt throughout the defensive backfield.
